Microdermabrasion
Renew your skin with this anti-aging treatment.
What is microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a gentle anti-aging technique. This treatment precisely targets the superficial layer of the epidermis (stratum corneum), where dead cells cover those in the process of maturing. The epidermis also harbors fine lines and other minor skin imperfections.
Microdermabrasion eliminates or disintegrates this superficial layer and stimulates the regenerative capabilities of the epidermis and restoration with new healthy skin cells, thus improving the texture and appearance of the skin while increasing the penetration efficiency of products used.

FAQ
Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions.
After a microdermabrasion treatment, the skin is softer, smoother, and more even. With repeated sessions, fine lines are smoothed out and surface imperfections are reduced. You will notice that your skin pores have tightened, as this technique clears sebum (oil) buildup and helps eliminate blackheads. Moreover, it evens out the complexion, illuminates the skin, and makes it more radiant.
The treatment requires no recovery time, there may be slight tingling, or a little sensitivity or redness similar to a sunburn, but these effects will disappear within hours following the treatment. The treated surface is more sensitive and delicate after a session, so avoid exfoliants or irritating creams in the following days. Do not expose the treated area to the sun for a few days and preferably use a sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30.
Side effects are rather rare, as this is a gentle technique. However, it is normal in the days following to observe fine peeling; simply ensure to moisturize your skin well.
Several microdermabrasion sessions are usually necessary to treat targeted problems, a course of 6 to 12 treatments is recommended, depending on the condition of the skin surface. However, one session is sufficient for a radiance boost.
