Microneedling
Collagen Induction Therapy
What Does ACS-PEN® Mean?
The ACS part stands for Advanced Cell Stimulation, which is a skin rejuvenation method through Advanced Cellular Stimulation, with the most advanced fractional microneedling device. PEN means pen, which represents the format of the device.
Microneedling is based on the self-healing powers of the skin's natural repair mechanisms. A micro-needle made of stainless steel and gamma sterilized, with a very fine and pointed tip and atraumatic properties, penetrates the stratum corneum by pushing the cells to the side without injuring them.
The Treatment
Thanks to the advanced cell stimulation of the ACS-PEN®, skin rejuvenation is ensured as new collagen forms easily and durably. Stem cells in the basal layer of the skin begin to produce new cells when stimulated by microneedling. The skin then improves by producing and forming new layers of keratinocytes.

FAQ
Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions.
ACS-PEN® is a treatment that can be performed on the face, neck, décolleté, hands, and other body parts. Moreover, the microneedling treatment with ACS-PEN® is suitable for all skin types, for both men and women, and can be performed at any age.
Our body produces electrochemical currents. These currents can be measured and visualized (e.g., electrocardiogram). Our epidermis is, figuratively speaking, a very flat battery that produces a current. If we pierce the epidermis, the current will be irreparably destroyed. However, if the epidermis is perforated with a micro-needle, the electrical supply to the perforation channel will be cut off in the short term, but the body's organism will repair the damage immediately.
The atraumatic micro-needles only make a false wound - no injury in the classical sense - neither blood flow nor tissue has been destroyed. However, as the body has registered a disturbance in the epidermal layers, it reacts and begins within milliseconds to produce new cells that repair the damage at the site of the puncture. These new cells integrate into the existing cellular structure and expand it: the thickness of the epidermis increases.
As side effects, redness may appear and a slight tingling sensation may be felt, especially on more sensitive skin, but these effects will disappear very quickly after the treatment. You can resume your normal activities the day after the treatment, which makes this care practical and not very constraining.
We advise you to plan for a series of 4 to 6 sessions spaced at intervals of 2 to 4 weeks as this is what is recommended. Additionally, maintenance treatment sessions are recommended depending on the evolution and condition of the skin.
Some results are seen very quickly from the first session, such as:
- Radiance Boost
- Firmer and Smoother Skin
- More Hydrated Skin
The more sought-after and major results will be seen more after a complete series of treatments, as recommended:
- Change in Skin Texture
- Improvement in Skin Density (Thicker Skin)
- Plumped Skin
- Remodeling of Collagen Fibers
